A good escape with local charm
The cozy pub atmosphere welcomed us, and the food was next-level delicious. Conversing with friendly locals over drinks was a highlight.
Breakfast timing was quite strict, leaving us feeling a bit rushed. We would have appreciated more flexibility in choosing our options.

The stay here was great on the weekend. The location next visiting The Lakes was particularly good and absolutely perfect for us. And it was also adjacent to the george washington @ dinnertime. The staff was supper friendly, always on hand when needed.

Had a lovely 2-night stay! The atmosphere was perfect, not too loud and not too quiet. Our room was super clean and the bed was really comfy. Brekfast was delish with great ingredients, and the couple running it were so friendly! We also enjoyed some really good ales at the bar!
The brekfast hours were kinda tight, and we felt a bit rushed going in. The shower was a bit small for my liking.

The room I stayed in wassuper clean and cozy, ideal after a long day of adventure. The home-cooked food was really good, particularly the generous three-course dinner, a real treat after a tiring trek.
The shower was a tight squeeze. Breakfast hours between 8:30 and 9:00 felt rushed, and the limited menu options were a bit of a bummer. Some noise disturbances were also present, likely from neighboring guests, which impacted the overall comfort I was hoping for. The Wi-Fi didn't hold up well in the upstairs rooms.

The views were amazing from the top! It was a fantastic way to bond as a family. Janet and James were really helpful, sharing tips for local activities. The cozy ambiance added to our fun family getaway.
In my wife's opinion, breakfast could have offered more variety for kids.

The room I reserved, a Double Room with Private Bathroom, felt clean and had a comfortable bed. The ambiance of the pub was cozy and inviting. Breakfast exceeded my expectations, with high-quality ingredients that were cooked to perfection. It's worth noting that the breakfast hours are quite limited, only from 8:30 to 9:00, which might be a bit tight for some guests. The hospitality was decent, though initial interactions could have been a touch warmer. I felt a bit rushed when trying to figure out the breakfast entrance. There were a few minor inconveniences, like the small size of the en suite shower and inconsistent meal quality on different nights. A pleasant stay with room for some improvements to enhance the experience further.

The Double Room with Private Bathroom wassuper clean and cozy. Meals were nice, particularly the good whole wheat bread rolls served with dinner, which paired perfectly with a cozy atmosphere. Breakfast hours felt too tight, leading to a rushed experience, and the shower size was a bit cramped. Noise from neighboring guests detracted from the tranquility one might hope for .

Had a lovely 2-night stay! The room was super spacious and clean. The food was amazing, we enjoyed proper home-cooked meals in the bar area, and the locals were friendly. Just be ready for the early breakfast window, it was a bit tight for us! Really enjoyed the real ales too.
